Parish Education Committee (PEC)

The Parish Education Committee (PEC) is composed of seven members approved by the School Pastor. The Pastor is the ex-officio member of the Committee and of all sub-committees. The term of office is for two years, renewable three times for a maximum consecutive total of eight years service inclusive of having served on one or more PEC's. Those eligible to hold office as a member of a PEC are practicing Catholics, approved by the Pastor, and have reached the age of twenty-one (21), with the following exceptions:

  • Past employees of the school until three full calendar years have passed since the termination of employment
  • Employees of the parish and/or school
  • Spouses, children, parents, brothers and sisters of persons covered as above,
  • All other teachers/principals employed by CISVA

Fundraising Sub-Committee

This committee is an extension of the PEC. Members meet once a month to discuss items pertaining to fundraising and special events to build and promote school community. Members also participate in the St. Mary’s Parish fundraising related to the new school building development.

    Raz-Kids provides students with hundreds of eBooks offered at 29 different levels of reading difficulty. Each eBook has a corresponding eQuizz that measures student comprehension.
